It seems like yesterday we started with Soca vs Dancehall in a small club in Arnhem. This one of a kind concept has now grown into one of the most fun Caribbean parties in The Netherlands. On Friday May 30th we will celebrate our 5th anniversary with a live performance from a grea…t artist who is known as the world’s King of Soca, MACHEL MONTANO. Machel Montano is known for some great hits such as: One more time, Bend Over, Mr Fete, She Ready, The Fog, Pump Yuh Flag, Advantage, HMA, Down D Road, Fly away with Collie Budz, Dance with you with Mr Vegas and many many more. He has also colaborated with artists like Pitbull, Major Lazer, Lil Wayne, Shaggy, Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Busy Signal and many more, showing his versatile talent. In October 2011, Machel was nominated in the “Best Caribbean Performance” category for the song “Bend Over” at the 2011 Soul Train Awards. Other nominees included Rihanna, Vybz Kartel, Movado and Kes. Machel is also one of the few artist who had the chance to perform at the White House in Washington DC for President Obama. On Friday May 30th he will bring his energetic show to The Netherlands for the first time. This will all take place at the mega venue, The Sand in Amsterdam.
